Located just north of Santa Cruz Island, this destination offers two incredible dive sites only 30 minutes by boat from the Itabaca Channel. Suitable for divers of all levels, though occasionally featuring strong currents, the area teems with diverse marine life. Here, you can encounter playful sea lions, Galapagos sharks, whitetip and hammerhead sharks, mobulas, turtles, vibrant reef fish, stingrays, eagle rays, Galapagos eels, barracudas, and a vast array of tropical fish!

Mosquera Islet

Mosquera is a stunning destination nestled between Baltra and Seymour, known for its vibrant marine life and scenic sandy expanses. This spot is a favorite gathering place for playful sea lions and offers an ideal vantage for spotting magnificent schools of eagle rays, hammerhead sharks, blacktip reef sharks, and Galapagos sharks. The area is also home to a remarkable colony of Galapagos garden eels, adding to Mosquera’s unique underwater experience.

Rocas Gordon

This renowned dive site is located 30 minutes by boat from the Itabaca Channel on the northern side of Santa Cruz Island. Ideal for intermediate to advanced divers (Participants must have at least 20 logged dives), it features strong currents and swells that create perfect conditions for observing cleaning stations frequented by various shark species, including hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, and whitetip reef sharks. Additionally, divers have excellent opportunities to encounter mobulas, turtles, reef fish, skate rays, eagle rays, moray eels, barracudas, and a vibrant array of invertebrates and mollusks.

Daphne Island

This exceptional dive site is conveniently located just north of Santa Cruz Island, an exposed tuff cone that is only 30 minutes from the Itabaca Channel. The site offers optimal conditions for diving, with gentle currents and a diverse range of underwater topography, from rocky to sandy.

The range of activities on offer is as diverse as it is impressive and will suit a variety of interests. You may have the opportunity to explore a small cave where you will be able to observe white-tip reef sharks resting, or you might come across a pinnacle teeming with life. The site boasts a diverse array of species, including eagle rays, skate rays, Galapagos sharks, turtles, reef fish, barracudas, black coral walls, and a variety of mollusks.

Bartolome

Prepare to be amazed by this iconic, world-famous Galapagos dive site! Which we are confident will amaze you. The site is conveniently located approximately an hour and a half from the Itabaca Channel, on the north side of Santa Cruz Island and east of Santiago Island. It offers optimal conditions, with occasional currents providing an element of excitement.

The site features a stunning platform at a depth of approximately 10 meters, which is home to an impressive variety of reef fish. At the platform’s edge, a 15-meter-deep submarine gully offers an excellent opportunity to observe various pelagic species. Highlights include sightings of whitetip reef sharks, occasionally hammerheads, reef fish, barracudas, turtles, mobulas, stingrays, and a rich diversity of invertebrates and mollusks.

Leon Dormido (Kicker Rock)

Just a 30-minute journey from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, León Dormido (Kicker Rock) rises majestically off the west coast of San Cristobal Island. This famous dive site is renowned for its diverse marine life, offering encounters with iconic Galapagos species like green sea turtles, hammerhead sharks, blacktip reef sharks, and Galapagos sharks. The vibrant, crystalline waters host a colorful array of reef fish, including yellowtail surgeonfish, parrotfish, pufferfish, rainbow wrasse, and many more—making it a true paradise for marine enthusiasts and divers.
